Myofascial Decompression offers myofascial mobility & neuromuscular re-education. Negative pressure tools used in “cupping” are a movement based set of manual therapy treatment techniques which evolved out of addressing sports and orthopedic injuries that do not respond to traditional joint mobilizations, other soft tissue interventions or therapeutic exercise.

How Cupping Works

Dr. Joe uses this technique to treat the root cause of the problem, being connective tissue matrix dysfunction or fascial plane restriction, to promote freedom of movement, pain-free movement, and neuromuscular re-training. Like IASTM, it helps to mechanically break up the adhesions, or the “fuzz”, between fascial layers to restore sliding which enables movement & releases stress concentrations in the tissues.

Cupping resets the neurological tone and oxygenates the muscle to accelerate tissue healing and improve function.
